Our Cross Docking Process

Cross docking works best when the handover is fast, controlled and repeatable. Our three-step process keeps inbound goods moving straight through the dock, with the checks and visibility you need to stay on schedule.

Receive And Unload

We confirm vehicle details and the booked slot, then unload safely whether freight is palletised, crated or loose-loaded. As goods come off, we complete count checks against paperwork and visual condition checks to flag shortages, overages or damage early.

Book And Track In The WMS

Movements are recorded through our WMS with RF and barcode scanning, with batch or reference control where required. This keeps the digital record aligned to what is physically on site and provides a clear audit trail of what arrived, what moved and what was despatched.

Verify, Sort And Allocate

Goods are verified against your references and shipping paperwork, then sorted by route, customer, priority or delivery window. Items are allocated into clear marshalling lanes so the right stock is grouped for the next move and mis-sorts are avoided.

Consolidate, Stabilise And Label

We consolidate consignments for route builds and onward transport, reconfigure pallets where needed, and stabilise loads for safe movement. Labels and load identification are applied to match your requirements and support clean scanning and tracking.

Stage For Outbound And Load
